Need Help?: Criteria for and AIDWYC Case
We may be able to help you or someone that needs to be heard.
All applicants must meet AIDWYC's criteria to qualify to have their cases reviewed.
• The conviction must have been for a serious crime. A substantial majority of AIDWYC cases involve convictions for murder. Convictions for other serious crimes can only be reviewed where resources permit.
• All appeals must have been exhausted. AIDWYC will not consider a case which has not exhausted all appeals except in extremely rare circumstances.
• Applicants must be innocent of the crime for which they were convicted.
Applicants whose cases do not fit AIDWYC's criteria will be notified as soon as possible.
