Since its inception, AIDWYC has been involved in the exonerations of over twenty wrongly convicted Canadians. In over three quarters of these cases, AIDWYC lawyers have played an active role in the investigation and eventual litigation of claims of wrongful conviction, while in other cases AIDWYC has lent its support and expertise at commissions of inquiry and other post-facto proceedings.
